This three-day course is focused on the fundamentals of data analytics – core skills which are necessary for the successful deployment of analytics projects and establishment of a data-driven culture in any organisation. Marrying design thinking with data analytics, this course will offer attendees an understanding of how to assess the data needs and the ability of an organisation, followed by the systems and processes to ensure that data becomes a key enabler. To operationalize this, the training will focus on teaching attendees the essentials of dashboarding including wireframing, storyboarding and how to create dashboards using Microsoft PowerBI.
Participants will be taught the fundamental data analytical functions that they are expected to carry out as data analysts. Using real world scenarios, this program has been designed to equip participants with knowledge of how to apply Design Thinking to manage projects and ensure that user requirements are addressed. As part of the data visualization process, participants will pick up hands-on knowledge of how to dashboard their data story with Microsoft PowerBI. These core skills are transferable regardless of the software used.
Designed for first line managers and above who work with data to assist with or make business decisions.
